WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
Loose, dark clothing and flip flops are best.
Tight clothing, socks, or shoes may take the spray off in those areas so it's important to leave nice and comfy!
Putting SPF & BROAD SPECTRUM on 15 minutes before you enter the water will not only protect your skin against harmful UV rays but it will also protect your spray tan as it creates a barrier between the tan and the water. Sunless tans and chlorinated water are not BFF's.
The worst body wash for a spray tan will be full of harsh ingredients like perfumes, dyes, and sulfates. Sulfates are actually harsh detergents used in liquid soaps to make bubbles. When you use these products on your spray tan or at-home self-tan you are stripping off your color and drying out your skin. To extend the life of your sunless tan choose a body wash that is sulfate-free, clean rinsing, and mild.
Lotions full of fragrances and mineral oil can cause a sunless tan to fade patchy. These moisturizers also are not soaking into your skin and nourishing it. They are just sitting on top of your skin. So what lotion SHOULD you use with your airbrush tan? I like lotions that are unscented, paraben-free, and formulated for sensitive skin. Again less is more in the lotion department and the more natural the better. Think mineral oil-free, fragrance-free, and chemical-free. My go-to is pure coconut oil.
Micellar water is great BUT I've heard great things about Green Clean by Farmacy. You can purchase this product at Sephora. However, I personally use CeraVe face wash.
